Let's see... Friday evening started off with a delicious pizza from Giordanos, a mini shopping spree at the Aurora outlet mall, and a stop at Coldstone! (we had a coupon, so we couldn't pass up ice cream, even if it was a mere 15 degrees).
Saturday morning started off with Bryan leaving at 6:30 to go hunting, and I left at 9:15 to go get the wedding pictures and our album! I made it home just in time for Nancy to pick me up to meet the boys so we could start our voyage to the Green Bay area (De Peere, WI, if you want to get technical). We got our fancy pants on and headed to the benefit. It was great to see our friends, the Connelly's, Staniak's, and Bucholz's. There was lots of bidding going on, but in the end, we only came home with a basket filled with a loaf of bread, cookies, and pancake mix. You may be thinking that I was after this basket, however, that is not the case. Bryan was like a watch dog making sure he came home with this prize. (Watching so much, that he lost the prize I was trying to win). Anyhow, after the benefit, we stopped by a nearby bar to make sure we did a midnight toast for Bryan's 30th birthday!
Sunday morning we met everyone in the lobby for our continental breakfast, then headed for home. We were home by 2:00, and to Bryan's surprise, the family room, kitchen, and bathroom were decorated with "30" signs and balloons. It was a great surprise! We were even more surprised to see a birthday cake in the fridge! So a BIG thanks to the Grebner's and Schumann's for thinking of B on his 30th.
After we rested, we had a nice dinner at Traverso's. The waitress was shocked that I gave her my credit card and said "The female is paying?" Before I could spit out that I was paying because it was his birthday, Bryan chimed in telling her that we were married, so it comes out of the same account anyway. He sure has a way of hiding it's his birthday. When we got home we enjoyed a piece of birthday cake and watched a movie.
Hope you had a terrific 30th birthday, hubbie!
