11 months old!!

11 months old. They are almost 1... I can't believe it! I know they are growing, but when I look back to 6 month pictures, Grady and Morgyn look the same to me. I guess I a have my "mom goggles" on.

Grady is pushing 20 pounds. He is definitely our eater. Although at times he can be picky about meat, he loves feeding himself "people" food. Cheerios, puffs, baby Cheetos, rice rusks, cut up sweet potatoes, pasta pick ups, and cheese are his favorites. Since the last post, of him attempting to walk... just a few days later he was up and at it. He has impeccable balance. He does morning squats playing peek-a-boo with Aubry under a table. He can stand from the middle of the room, without using his hands. And instead of walking, he is practicing running. I'm not sure where he is in such a hurry to get to, but he wants to get there fast. Even though he is so independent, he is still our snuggler. When he is tired, he has been known to find his "Buddy" blanket and pacifier and will bury his face into you. He will also come "check in" after playing for a while on his own. He will just come over to you and give his sweet smile. We have recently noticed his love for Mickey Mouse. When Mickey comes on tv, he will bounce to the opening music, and then again to Mickey's Hot Dog song at the end. Sometimes he will even clap along.

Morgyn is slightly lighter. Okay, not slightly... a whole 3 pounds lighter! Although not walking (and still not at all interested in it) her hand-eye coordination is astounding. She loves picking things up to balance them on top of something. She loves to laugh. She makes the silliest faces that will make us all laugh, which makes her laugh. She is very particular at what goes in her mouth. Most of the time she is insistent that she be the one to put food in her mouth. Opposite her brother, she loves meat! Turkey, chicken, pork chops, steak... she eats it all! But she is a pokey eater, just like her big sister. And she gets very jealous when she sees Grady getting puffs or cheerios and realizes that she didn't get any. She is still doing a great job talking, and has added the word "no" to her vocabulary. The other night when she was climbing on the table (see picture later on), when she was told "Morgyn, Get Down!", she slowly turned her head toward me, opened those eyes very big and wide and simply said "no" in her sweetest voice. Music also seems to be her fancy lately, bouncing up and down when music is played from a toy. Her hair is getting so long in the front, but she refused to keep hair clips in, even though they look super cute!

Enjoying some real breakfast - Pancakes!
Does Morgyn know about planking? Her upper body strength is crazy. She grabbed the sides of the table and pulled herself up.
A snack cup was introduced to them recently and they LOVE it. They are not great at sharing it, and even when they get their own, Grady steals Morgyn's once his is empty.
