Happy 5th Aubry Day!!

Our sweet little girl is FIVE!! She is the most observant, inquisitive, and definitely the most stubborn, best procrastinator that loves to entertain that I know. She had a wonderful birthday celebration that started with waking up with a giant 5 balloon in her room, wearing the birthday crown at school, having cupcakes from Pop and Aunt Sue, and a birthday dinner at Red Robin with Grandma Karen, Grandpa Dale, and Aunt Mary (and her parents and siblings, of course).

She requested a CandyLand Birthday cake. After weeks of planning the design and collecting different candy, it took 1 hour and 20 minutes to decorate. It came out perfect! Gingerbread Lane (teddy grams), Peppermint Forest, Gumdrop Mountains, Gramma Nut's House (mini peanut butter cups made into a pyramid), Lollipop Woods, Snowflake Lake (marshmallows), Chocolate Swamp (chocolate frosting, chocolate chips, and some Hershey bar rectangles), and Candy Castle (ice cream cones with frosting and sprinkles)... It's got everything from the gameboard; even sticky licorice spaces and the shortcuts Rainbow Trail and Gumdrop Pass!

She chose to have her party at  Fore! Family Fun. The kids got to bounce, have pizza and cake, play mini glow-golf, and then use some tokens in the game room. It really was a ton of fun. We brought the presents back to our house to open. Aubry was pretty exhausted by the end of the day.
