Wizard of Oz
Grandma Karen, Aunt Mary, and I brought Aubry downtown to see the Wizard of Oz. It was a great performance. Aubry was excited that they used a real dog for Toto! The Scarecrow was hilarious. Aubry's favorite part was seeing Dorothy. Oh yes, and I attempted to french braid for the first time that morning!

 

Mother's Day

We enjoyed a delicious brunch at Claim Jumpers with Grandma Karen and Grandpa Dale. After brunch we played outside at their house and headed home at nap time.

Tooth #2 fell out!

Daddy's Little Helper

8 months later, the siding is going up on the shed. I had some errands to run, so during nap time, Bryan recruited a little helper to help him finish the job.

 

 

 

Naked Babies
We are struggling keeping clothes and diapers on Grady and Morgyn lately. The first time it happened, they snuck upstairs on their own. I could hear them from the kitchen, so I knew they were fine, but I went upstairs to check on them anyway. Grady was inside his crib (what kid has ever been known to climb in? They always want to climb out!)... but he was naked; bare butt naked (with socks on). Morgyn was in front of his crib in the process of pulling her diaper off. I went to take Grady out, but he hopped out and ran, giggling, down the hallway, with Morgyn following. Luckily, they self-sensored themselves.

 

But this was only the beginning. They have snuck around at Grandma Nancy's house and have been found naked, too. The big No-No was one Saturday when they both woke up and took everything off. Morgyn peed in her bed. They didn't learn from their scolding/spanking because later I put them down for naps the same day: CLOTHED. Bryan checked on them later and they were NAKED with NO DIAPERS. Morgyn peed in her bed, again, and they really got it that time. We haven't had any incidents since. (Knocking on wood and crossing fingers as I type this.)

 

Pre-School Graduation!!

It has been a wonderful two years of Pre-School at Adventures in Learning. Miss Lisa has instilled great learning values in Aubry. A big thanks to Teri Burritt for researching and picking this Pre-School for Kyri.
