Rain, Furniture & Birthdays.. oh my!

Friday night: Friday night was the big football game against our biggest rival.. Oswego High School. It rained non stop, and if it weren't for my super-hero (Bryan) I would've been a drowned rat, but he let me wear his rain gear, so I was covered head to ankle... nice and dry. After losing a horrible game, I got home, and the only thing that was wet were my socks (b/c the rain off of the rain pants kept dripping on me feet.. I guess I need galoshes!)

Saturday:The rain had a break at the perfect time! Our brand new dining room set was delivered and didn't get a drop of rain on it. It looks AWESOME in the freshly painted dining room. We can't wait to have people over to sit and eat at it!


We ran lots and lots of errands after the delivery, including finding that table runner for the new table! I love fall colors! We sqeezed in a snack from Auntie Anne's and had Olive Garden for dinner. What a treat!
And of course, Happy 30th, Brian!

Sunday: Our land must have great soil, because all this rain is making these giant mushrooms pop out - all over our yard!!

The rain not only covered our yard in mushrooms, but it closed off our route to our annual September Birthday Brunch. Four family members have September birthdays so we always get together for brunch, football, presents, and dessert. This year we went to Cantigny in Winfield (our route to get to I-88 was closed), then we went back to Mike & Rose's to watch the Bears blow it. Despite them losing, we shared lots and lots of laughs.
Happy Birthday to Aunt Mary (9-9), Brian (9-13), Dad (9-19), and Rose (also 9-19)!
