Friday was my actual birthday, and had delicious treats waiting for me at work. Then, Friday night, we met some good friends at Lucky Strike Lanes in Lombard.... a new bowling alley. We had 2 lanes for 13 people, so it was a little crowded, but the company was great and we had lots of fun bowling. The party package included snacks and cookies, and Bryan even made chocolate cupcakes and put my most favorite frosting ever on top (Rainbow Chip). What a thoughtful husband!
The Bowlers:
Julie, Carrie, Jana, Jennifer
Kristi, Me, Amy
Julie & Chris
Bryan, Teri, Kyle, Brian

Happy Birthday to ME!
We spent Saturday preparing (mostly just cleaning and cooking) for company. I made a new dip for an appetizer, and it was a big hit! It's going to sound strange, but it's tasty: 8 oz softened cream cheese, 1/4 c jellied cranberry, 1/4 c orange juice, mix with blender until fluffy. Since it is a sweeter dip I served it with graham crackers. Delicious! Bryan made a roast for dinner with carrots, potatoes, asparagus, and rolls. There were famous sprinkle cookies, cupcakes (yes, left over from the night before.. but they were in a cupcake tree this time... way cooler!) and my mom made an apple-raisin thing for dessert. Everything was great and you can bet that we had plenty of laughs during our game "What's yours like?"!

Happy Birthday to ME again!
Sunday morning was spent relaxing, but then we went to the Grebners to hang out with Bryan's family. His cousin, Josh, has the same birthday has me, and Josh's sister's birthday is the 5th, so it was a 3 person birthday celebration. It was an easy going, pizza & cake eating, opening presents kind of party. We haven't hung out with the whole fam since the Knutson Invitational, so it was good to spend time with everyone this weekend.

And I'm finally not 26 anymore! It was just a weird number. It sounds so much nicer to be 27....
A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR CELEBRATING WITH ME AND SHARING THEIR BIRTHDAY WISHES AND GIFTS!!! =)
