Trick or Treat?

No tricks for me! I definitely got the best treat this Halloween....
Bryan and I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon and evening downtown! I had a half day of work, so when I was done, I picked up Bryan at work to start our day of fun. We had a reservation to stay at the Palmer House Hilton Hotel, and while we were checking in, we decided to upgrade to the "Executive Level". Not only do you use a special elevator, but you have access to all day snacks and beverages, along with a continental breakfast! So we checked in and brought our luggage upstairs, but since the weather was amazing, we decided to go walk around downtown and sight see. We stopped for dinner at Giordanos, and picked up some delicious carmel corn from Garrett's popcorn. As the sun set, we saw some great skyline views, but we also saw more and more interesting costumes, some of which we weren't actually sure if they were costumes...

There was a seat on the elevator!!

We got back to our room around 6, just in time to relax a little before getting all fancied up to go see Jersey Boys. If you've ever been to a show, then you know that there is the orchestra level and then 3 "balconies". We sat in the 1st balcony, in the FIRST row! Our seats were great and the show was even better!

The theater was literally a 30 second walk from the Palmer House, so I was glad to be back indoors since it did end up getting a little chilly out. When we got to our executive floor, we decided to sneak a peek and what snacks were out. I was lucky enough to get a cup of hot chocolate, Bryan chose iced-tea, and we had a few cookies. It was a fun snack to share while winding down for the evening.
In the morning we enjoyed some cereal, fruit, juice, and bagels before heading to Villa Park to pick up my mom and Teri. We were off to a baby fair in Schaumburg. It wasn't too much walking, and we got bags and bags of information, along with a free cookie as a snack.
We were home in time to see the end of a disapointing Notre Dame game and to blog, of course!

Looks like an awesome night on the town! Celebrating anything in particular?

Glad you had a nice Halloween - too bad there's no pictures of the crazy costumes you saw!
