Christmas, Christmas, and MORE Christmas!

Bryan and I spent the last couple days with the best people ever -- our FAMILIES! We packed up the car Tuesday night with lots of presents, loaded the car very early Wednesday morning with a suitcase, and headed to Villa Park. I was dropped off at 7AM on Christmas Eve to help my mom get ready for the Boston's Christmas Eve gathering. (Don't worry, I took 2 naps throughout the day). Bryan only had to work a 1/2 day, so on his way back to my mom's, he stopped at the hotel to check us in. That night 22 "Bostons" made it for a great home-cooked meal. It was great to see everyone!

Rudolph always makes an appearance every Christmas Eve.

We exchanged gifts with Brian & Leslie before the night was over, then headed "home" (to the hotel). It works out very well to stay the night nearby. We don't have to drive so far home, and get to sleep in a little bit longer before heading back to my mom's for breakfast. Before we went back to my mom's, Bryan and I exchanged our gifts. We borrow a little mini Christmas tree to bring to the hotel so we still get presents under the tree!

Breakfast wasn't quite ready when we arrived, so we opened our stockings to find lotto tickets and little puzzles, where we had to figure out how to get a piece of metal off of the contraption. It was a nice distraction for my grumbling tummy. Breakfast was served just as Aunt Mary arrived. Everything was delicious! We cleaned up and then exchanged MORE presents. Then we had to have a fashion show with all the new maternity clothes that I got =). Oh yah, through all this going on, Bryan made a cherry pie and a turkey to bring over to our next Christmas!

Turkey wrapped in bacon?!?!?! It was actually VERY TASTY!

We didn't have very far to go, just a few blocks. Teri and Kyle were kind enough to host so little baby Kyri wouldn't have to go out in the cold.. everyone brought Christmas to them! Nancy even named it a "PJ Christmas" so everyone, well almost everyone, was in their comfiest clothes! The 16... oops... now 17 "Knutsons" enjoyed ham, turkey, and all the extras for dinner, opened lots of gifts, and had WAY TOO much dessert (ok, I was the one who had too much dessert). We didn't leave Villa Park until 10:30pm, which got us home just before midnight. As we were unpacking the car, making multiple trips inside from the garage, we asked ourselves one very important question: How are we going to fit all of our stuff in the truck when there is a carseat and baby back there!?!??!! We had SO much great stuff. We are very appreciative for all of our gifts and such a loving family.
Grandma Joan meeting Kyri
Crazy Uncle Eddie.... or Grebner?
These aren't beer goggles... if you looked at the Christmas Tree wearing these goofy things, you saw snowmen or candy canes, or snowflakes around each light!
Bryan playing with Ozzie
Sandy waiting patiently to open gifts.. she is almost camoulflaged by her gifts!

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to ALL!
