We did it!

We want to welcome Aubry Rae to our family. She greeted us at 6:30 pm at 7 lbs 13 oz at 20 inches long, with a full head of dark hair. She is our little bundle of love! Our baby and the new mom are both doing very well.

Here's a little timeline of our day:

11:45am: arrived at hospital, got checked out in the triage center of the maternity ward.

12:00: first exam - still 3cm

12:15-12:45: did laps around the nurse's station

12:50: second exam - still 3cm

1 - 1:30: more laps

1:30-1:40: break time

1:40-2:00: more laps!

2:15: third exam (done by actual doctor, since she was in the halls making a delivery) - 5cm!!!

2:40: admitted to maternity ward, room 106

2:50: water broke!

3:30: epidural.... ahhhhhhhhh

4:00: fourth exam - 8cm!!

5:00: fifth exam - 10cm!!

5:30: started pushing

6:30: Baby cries!! (beautiful sound!)

7:15: first feeding

7:25-8:45: lots of visitors! (Grandma Karen, Grandpa Dale, Grandma Nancy, Uncle Brian, Aunt Leslie, Great Aunt Sandy, and Great Aunt Mary

8:45: second feeding

9:00: moved to a new location (our room for the next 2 days) and Great Aunt Sherry visited

9:20: Aunt Teri & Uncle Kyle visited and watched Aubry's first bath!
