HEIGHT: 32.5 inches, 95th percentile! HOORAY! She's practically off the charts!

WEIGHT: 21 lbs, 14 oz., only the 35th percentile.

The doctor didn't seem concerned that her weight percentile has been dramatically decreasing, since her actual weight is still increasing. But he did say her 24 ozs of milk a day was too much. He thinks she is filling up on it, and not eating as much food, except..... have you seen her eat??? Some days she can be picky, but most days she just shovels it in!! Here is what a typical day looks like:
Breakfast: served between 7:30 and 8am. Some kind of toaster meal: 4 mini blueberry waffles ( which equal the size of 1 normal toaster waffle), 4 french toast sticks, OR, some mini pancakes, always served with milk and a pile of cheerios. If she finishes her milk, she gets some Apple-Carrot juice. YUM!
Lunch: served after nap time, anwhere between noon and 1:30. 2 dinosaur chicken nuggets, half of a string cheese, a pile of strawberries, some grapes, served with milk.
Dinner: served between 5:30 and 6:30. We haven't been making her anything special for dinner, so she's been eating what we eat! The other day she shoveled in almost an entire tray of broccoli with cheese sauce. The next night she had red and green tortellini. Last night she had some pizza. Dinner is always served with, what else, milk! (So it does sound like she has a lot of milk, but we just don't fill it as much anymore)
At the time of her doctor appointment, she was still refusing to drink milk from a sippy cup, and still wanted the bottle. Saturday night we took the plunge. She took 1 sip out of the cup at dinner and that was it for the entire night, so she went to bed without milk. Sunday at breakfast we gave her lots of dry food to make her thirsty so she had no choice to drink it out of a cup. And here she is this morning, happy as a clam, enjoying her waffles, apples, and cheerios, with her cup of milk. She is offering to share her apple with you, and when she saw the camera, she said "CHIS" (as in, cheese!) [notice there is no more waffle on her plate... ate it all up!]
Speaking of speaking, I made a list of words that she was able to say by the time she was 15 months old. Cheese was not on the list, since this morning was the first time I heard her say it.
In no particular order:
uh-oh (her 1st word)
no
hi
Aubry (Aubee, said when looking at pictures, or in the mirror)
juice (joo)
milk (mi)
shoes (chooz)
cracker (cracka)
cheerio (chee-0)
ball (her favorite toy lately)
golf ball (ba ball) (likes to hit balls with a putter)
dad (dada)
mom (momma)
puppy - is SO clear!
duck (cuck)
quack (cack-cack)
moo
more (mo)
Mickey (mi)
up (up or uppy)
down (dow)
open (ope)
baby
bless you (syoo)
bubble (bubba)
nose (no, as she points to it)
tummy (tum)
belly button (bubba)
oh boy (ah woy)
sit down (si dow)
thanks
And of course, she has her own little babble language that sounds like she's making complete sentences that make sense to her, but we have no clue what she said.
Things she can find on her body (but usually points to it on the body of whoever asked to find it)
nose & tummy
Things she can find from her toys:
ball, duck, frog, dolphin, shapes, cups, baby, book (her special books that she naps and goes to bed with)
Other things she knows what they are and goes to the location, when asked:
shoes, stairs, pacifier, juice, milk
Also, when asked, she can:
shake it, dance, hug, kiss, peek-a-boo, arms up, high-five, and just yesterday, learned "fist bump"! (but she only does it because she likes the sound effect of an explosion after the fists touch) - hilarious!
Other things she's loving right now:
rolling around in blankets, throwing balls, climbing in the big chair, going outside, kicking in the pool, pushing the piano keys, being chased, going down slides, playing with rocks and sticks, pointing out things in books, playing with phones (mostly the real ones), doodling with pens and crayons on scratch paper, eating cheerios and goldfish crackers out of a snack cup and saying what she's about to eat, and using a spoon to eat ice cream!
She survived another 3 shots at the doctor, and doesn't go back until October.
