The Fair, Handy Helper, and MORE pool time!

The DuPage County Fair
We took an adventure to the fair this past Sunday and met my parents there. The weather was perfect, and since the sun was out, Aubry got to wear her Minnie Mouse sunglasses.

There were lots of animals to see. Aubry wasn't too sure about any of them, especially the ones that tried to eat her stroller!

But she gave him a chance and touched his nose!

We found lots of tractors, all different sizes, but Aubry found one perfect for her (even though she couldn't reach the pedals)

But I jumped in and gave her a ride around the track

There was a play area where you could take a basket and pick fake apples, eggs, and potatoes. Aubry loved digging in the sand for the potato.

Lunch time was, well, messy..especially when you play peek-a-boo with pizza in your hands

The new and improved hammock

Aubry looks ready to be a super star

Handy Helper
After the fair, Bryan worked on fixing our patio. Parts of it near the edge settled lower and looked sunken in, so he took out that layer and added sand underneath. Aubry was very interested in helping. Maybe her interest came from watching Handy Manny? or was it because her dad was using her sand tools? Either way, she was hands-on, and ready to help.

She must have been in a very helping mood, because she just HAD to help get the corn ready for dinner. She even tried to eat it, but we conviced her to wait until it was cooked - and she loved it!

Raging Waves Waterpark
Yesterday we met Auntie Teri, Kyri, Grandma Nancy, and Grandma Karen at the waterpark. We were there much longer than I thought Aubry would last, but she had a blast. We played in the kiddie pool for 2 hours, enjoying the slide, then took a break and got some lunch, played some more in the kiddie pool, and then attempted the lazy river. We were there for 5 hours!! It wasn't too hot out, but the overcast clouds and the breeze still helped.
Aubry just can't get enough waterslides! - look how big this one is!

Kyri took a turn as well. WEEEEE!

Snack time (and time to play with Grandma's hat)

What a fun (and exhausting) day. Aubry took a 2 hour nap once we got home! We are still loving every bit of summer, and can't wait for our next big adventure ~ Myrtle Beach!!

I think Bryan should have left that part of your patio out and made it into a sandbox!! : ) We had a blast at the waterpark and can't wait for Myrtle Beach, too!
