Myrtle Beach - Post 2 - The Vacation

Ok, here it is finally! Our week in Myrtle Beach. WARNING~LOTS OF PICTURES!!!

Monday:
7am Aubry's awake. 8am Omlets ala Bryan. Then off to the beach we went until lunch time. The girls amazingly all napped at the same time, right after lunch, so the adults rested, too! (This is when the 1st post was started... the girls woke up, went to the pool and came back, and that's when the 1st post finally got published). Dinner: Stuffed peppers ala Owen. Play time, then bed time.

Kyri, Kyle, & Aubry waiting for omlets

Ah, the beach!

Afternoon pool time

Swim lessons were a success... look at that kick!

Tuesday:
7am Dads depart to golf. Girls wake up. Bagels ala Moms. Off to the beach we went. Not as easy without the dads. Exhausting, actually. So much stuff to bring, and it feels like you are bringing home WAY more because there is sand EVERYWHERE. Lunch, then naps, then off to a dinner cruise!
The girls were excited to get all dressed up to go dancing on the boat.

Aubry got a little too excited and accidentally took Kyri down. - All in fun - No one was injured!

After the dinner cruise it was time to wrestle with Owen!
Wednesday:
7am: Aubry's awake. 730: Mickey time. 8am: Breakfast casserole ala Owen. Pool time, lunch time, nap time, then a whole group outing! We went to a tourist place with shops and restaurants that advrtised a summer parade every Wed night, so this was our reason for going. ~ we had quite the experiene. At dinner, 45 minutes after we ordered, we were told that our order was LOST!!!!! We eventually got our food, with only the smallest discount for the mix-up, but we were mostly worried about missing the parade.... or should I say "parade". As we exited the restaurnt, we saw the parade-the whole parade: 5 or 6 band members playing a Greenday song, a clown on stilts, a juggler in a golf cart, a guy carying a goat, and a woman handing lais to the kids. Very disapointing, but at least we got a laugh out if it!
Yee haw! Owen riding a bull before dinner

The grumpy, hungry kids, waiting for dinner...Charlie had waited long enough!

A nice family pic

Aubry spotted a crate full of balls through the window and had to take a peek

Bubbles!
Moo!
More!

Thursday:
7am: Dads depart for golf, Aubry wakes up. 730 Mickey & breakfast. 8am: Dress the girls alike for a photo shoot!! Then off to the pool the girls went. Aubry was the first to leave the pool. She seemed tired, so we walked back-wait-I walked back, carrying Aubry who fell asleep after 20 steps toward home. After she napped and had lunch, she played copy-cat with Aunt Teri while Bryan and I made a pineapple-upside-down cake (yummy!!), then the Knutson family left to play some mini golf. We made dinner when we came back (pasta with chicken meatballs), then just hung around the house for the night.
The Photo Shoot

Aubry was in a hugging mood...

Again, taking down Kyri was a complete accident! No one was injured =)

Auby had to be doing everything Auntie Teri was doing.. she had many many emails to check.

mini-golf. Aubry had just thrown her 2 golf balls onto the green and was so proud of herself!

While we made dinner, Kyle was teaching the girls to be nice... (please ignore shirtless Aubry - she learned how to take off her tank top that day)

but that didn't really end well...

the cake!

Friday:
7am: Aubry's awake, 730 quick breakfast, 830: out the door with Kyle, Teri, & Kyri for a dolphin excursion. It was Aubry's first time on an open boat, wearing her life jacket. The ocean was pretty choppy from raining the night before, but she did ok. Just sat in my lap or next to me for the first part of the trip. Since I didn't want to move her, the 2 of us missed the dolphin sighting, but Bryan got a picture of a fin!! (Don't miss it!). The excrusion beached us for lunch and playtime, then took us to the marina just in time for an afternoon downpour! We were cooped up inside for the rest of the day, but just before Tacos by Kyle for dinner, we took the girls to the pool area so they could play and we could have a cocktail.

Saturday:
Surprise, surprise, 7am: Aubry's awake, 7:30 Mickey, 8am: pancakes. Out the door by 10am, the whole group went to another tourist area with shops and restaurants. We were there most of the morning and afternoon. We got to see Kyri the animal expert, had a Mickey lunch, and Igot to go zip-lining! It was nap time on the way home, and then time to start packing. Some of the group tried to hit the pool and beach one last time, but they got rained out. In the midst of packing, Bryan made stuffed porkchops for dinner. We were on the road to come home at 9pm.

Here I go!!!

"It's really hot, and I'm really tired, can we get mom so we can go?"

Sunday:
Another successful 12 hours with the girls sleeping was successful! We stopped at a Cracker Barrel just south of Indianapolis for breakfast. It was the perfect place for the girls to run around outside on their patio and play with the checkers and rocking chairs. Surprisingly they fell asleep once they got back in the car for a couple hours, then woke up and watched Finding Nemo (oh yes, Kyle & Owen fixed the dvd player, so it was working on the way home!). We arrived home before the movie was over.
What an amazing trip. Everything worked out perfect and everyone had a very enjoyable time. We would definitely do something like this again!!!
