Bed Time Routine

Here is an update on Aubry's bedtime situation from the previous post:

Night 1: Bryan took Aubry to her new bed, and she didn't want anything to do with it. This was just a few hours after she helped put it together! He layed her down in her new bed and layed on the floor next to her. She climbed out and layed on top of him. After realizing there was no point for them to both sleep on the floor, to our bed they went, until she fell asleep. She was put in her own bed around 9, but only stayed there until 11:45, when we heard her calling "Daddy, back! Daddy, back!". Bryan thinks she meant to put the crib back, but I think she meant put me back in your bed. In any case, she spent the rest of the night in our bed. Aubry-1, Parents-0. Boo.

Night 2: My turn. I took Aubry upstairs, and made her new bed sound really exciting. Since she usually lays her entire body on our pillows when she is in our bed, I decided to give her my pillow to see if that helped her stay in her bed. She layed on it for a little while, while I layed on the floor next to her, but a few short moments later, she was on the floor next to me, cuddled up in a body pillow with her blanket and book. We both fell asleep there until Bryan woke me up at 10. We transferred her from the floor to the bed, where she stayed silently throughout the night - or so we thought. When Bryan went in there in the morning to bring her to Grandma's, she was asleep on her floor. Exhibit A:

Night 3: Feeling a little more accomplished, since she actually stayed out of our bed the entire night, it was my turn again. This time, I flipped the pillow around, so her head was at the open part of the new bed, so I could tuck my head on the pillow too, just as if we were laying in my bed. She fell asleep instantly. Not sure if it was over-exhaustion from a busy day, or if she just felt comfortable enough to just fall asleep, or if it really had something to do with having my head on the pillow, right next to her. We didn't hear from her all night, but once again, when we peeked in on her this morning, she was in the middle of her floor.
Not sure what the sleeping on the floor thing is about, but she is staying quiet, and in her room, so we are giving the parents a point! Aubry-1, Parents-2!!!!!

This is just too funny! But, I agree point to Parents if she stays in her room.

She has been so darn cute this week maybe floor sleeping agrees with her.

Transitioning to a bed is SO HARD! (The only thing harder with a toddler is potty training! :) Looks like you are doing a great job and freeing up some space in your bed! I'm sure she will soon be spending all night in her little bed! Good luck!

Hahaha! At least she's staying in her room. She looks so cute all snuggled up on the floor. Did you notice the only two letters showing on the rug where she's laying? Is she sending you guys a message?? : )
