We have been LOVING summer so far!!
One day, I talked Aubry into riding her bike to the park a few blocks away. She did great, and Morgyn and Grady liked having the park to themselves to climb the stairs and go down the slide. The clouds came rolling in fast that afternoon, so we cut our trip short and Aubry peddled as fast as she could home. As soon as we made it back to the garage, it stated POURING!
M&G took their 1st trip to Chuck E. Cheeses for Ethan & Sophia's birthday. They used a lot of tokens on little "rides". They loved it, especially when Aunt Jennifer shared her cake!!!
On the same day, we visited the Carnduff's patio party, where there were plenty of kids to play with! (or chase...)
We also had some sleepovers at Grandma and Grandpa's while Daddy was away. Grandma Karen and Aubry even had a campout one night! It was a chilly night, and I really thought they would have snuck back into the house in the middle of the night, but they made it! I went outside at 8:30am and they were still sleeping!!
Morgyn learned a "silly face". If you ask to see her "silly face", this is what you get:
Hooray! Daddy's back from Canada! It was a beautiful Sunday for a boat ride on the Illinois River:A pool day with Aunt Mary turned rainy, but we went to Kids Town instead! Aubry, Mia, and Morgyn were busy playing dolls and dress up, and Grady still tried to drive every car they had. Aunt Mary made sure to have cupcakes with for an early birthday celebration for Aunt Les. Happy Birthday!!
Monday-Friday reunion!! The kids loved seeing Julie again, and we had a rain-free picnic inside. When the rain stopped, we went to a park that had a small splash park feature that most of the kids enjoyed. Ok, all o the girl kids enjoyed it!
During this busy summer, we still snuck in time for swim lessons. It was a five days in a row one week, and four days the next week. We were lucky enough to have classes at the same time for Aubry and M&G, and it was late enough where Bryan was able to meet us there so we would have one parent per child in the Water Babies class. Aubry's teachers happened to be 2 of my former students. She went to class by herself. I'm not sure Aubry actually learned anything, but all three kids seemed to enjoy it.Pillow snuggles after a long day of fun-
A "stay at home day", as Aubry calls them. We put on swim suits and got the hose out. The water was Freezing!, but that didn't stop Morgyn the fish. She just loves the water!
HAIR CUT! Unfortunately, Grady's first, second, third, and fourth haircuts were not captured on camera, but each of them made him look just as handsome!
Raging Waves Waterpark outing: Such a fun day. Grady and Morgyn each went down a small slide with Aubry. The only trouble was that Aubry went a little faster than them and ended up tipping them over. It's okay, M&G still thought it was fun. They even went down by themselves! . Aubry had the most fun when we found Jennifer, Josh, Bella, Amy, Melanie, and Leah. (Morgyn's solo picture, along with a group shot of the big kids, were not captured due to camera problems).
Another pool day....at Mia's! (we missed Mia because she was on a vacation in California, but THANK YOU for letting us use your pool!) Dare devil Grady LOVED the slide. Most of the time he went down holding my hand, but these pics are with him on Aubry's lap. Even Aubry got a little daring, going down head first! (After the first time she said she didn't like it, but then wanted to do it again!)
We had some silly dinner entertainment one night. These kids crack me up!
They are getting so big so fast! It is so much fun taking them out and doing things, but still very exhausting. All of these days were early bed times for me, for sure!
