Getting Ready:
making cookies for the road trip-
On the road, Saturday:
Since we left from different homes, we didn't meet up until an hour shy of our overnight destination. This was the first time the kids got to really see that they were vacationing together! Tessa and Aubry made car swap for the last bit of the trip. I was busy using my phone map to find a hotel. It was a bit challenging, but we ended up at a nice hotel in Cranberry Township, PA...we just passed the OH state line. STARVING, we demolished the ordered pizzas.
Back on the road & Arrival, Sunday:
Somebody couldn't wait for a rest stop...
Lunch on the go-
Finally made it to the house -
Aubry and Kyri picked out their bunkbed room and settled in very quickly
Grady showing his baby some lovin'
Morgyn inched her way on the bench to butter up Aunt T so she could eat some green pepper!
Tessa kept busy by lining up water bottles
Morgyn also got on Uncle Kyle's good side for a nice bedtime snuggle.
Hershey World, Monday:
Not the amusement park, but we were able to have a taste test, learning about different types of chocolate, see a 3-D show, ride a "ride" that taught us about making chocolate, a fun singing trolley ride that taught us about Mr. Hershey, and created our own chocolate candy bar. (Don't forget about having lunch, all the free mini chocolate bars we collected, and the delicious ice cream treats)
Oh, did I forget to mention that Bryan just came home from Canada?
Bedtime- Tessa and Grady are burning some energy by jumping off the couch.
Crayola Factor, Tuesday:
Before we left for the 2 hour drive, the land next to our house was being dug up. Grady recently started saying "truck" so Bryan took him outside to show him. The worker asked if Grady wanted to ride in it!
So... Crayola... for our little "craft girl"... it was great! Tons of hands on things to do. It was extremely busy, and very warm inside, but we made the most of it.

2 hour drive home; apparently dinner wasn't fulfilling-
Play Day, Wednesday:
A pre-lunch mini golf outing! This was Kyri and Tessa's first time playing =)
The dads didn't have enough golf, so while they did "real" golf, we had Pool Time! Grady was so adventurous, trying to climb the slide by himself!
The famous SHOEFLY PIE for dessert. Tasty goodness!
Sesame Place, Thursday
The plan was to do dry rides before lunch, eat lunch at a picnic area in the parking lot, change into swimsuits, and do wet rides for the rest of the day. However, a cold front came in, and we were in sweatshirts! So after lunch we got a great spot for a parade and continued riding rides. After dinner, the place cleared out, so the last hour was super fun getting on our favorite rides over and over again.
Kyle, Kyri, Kay and Aubry a roller coaster!!
Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street?
Lunch time!

Aubry's favorite ride...
Aubry's not so favorite ride-
Train Day, Friday
We saw signs hear the rental house for a train museum, so we decided to check it out. We were there much longer than anticipated, but ended up taking a 45 minute train ride in the "lunch car" and were served Hobo lunches. (Somehow, I ended up at the kid's table). We came home to swim and met up with Sharal Snyder (Stasch) and her 3 kids. Crazy that she ended up living so close to where we were staying!
Last night at the house - cousin snuggles during movie time!
Heading home: Saturday, overnight in Ohio, and Sunday:
Lunch on the go again. We drove far enough into Ohio to get our hotel close enough to a Smokey Bones. Bryan brought dinner back to the hotel and it was Delicious! Aubry worked off some energy by flying from bed to bed, and Grady spun Morgyn around in the chair.
Another great vacation!! We are so lucky to have good "traveling" kids. We can't wait for what lies ahead!
