Last night we dug through the freezer chest in our garage and found the top of our cake! Bryan wrapped it VERY well last year before storing it, so it was like an adventure to see what it even looked like! We decided to leave it on the counter to thaw over night and all day today, so we could enjoy after our anniversary dinner. We met for dinner at the wedding location! We went to the Wyndham Lisle hotel and had dinner at their restaurant. It was pretty good... they had delicious pretzel rolls with sweet butter. YUM! Bryan had porkchops with rice and asparagus, while I had chicken (that looked like it was napping on my plate b/c it was almost the whole body.. gross) with carrots and french fries. When we got home we couldn't wait to dig into our cake, but decided to go out in the backyard and have a photo-shoot first. When it was finally cake time, we found that the frosting had MELTED OFF! Hmm. Oh well...It still tasted good!

I think we ate our wedding cake top a week after our wedding...or did we ever eat it? I have no idea anymore....

As for our wedding cake top, we ate it the night of our wedding! Ha! We didnt' get to eat any cake at the wedding..therefore, just ate it right away!
Congratulations!! Cannot believe it has been a year already....I remember your wedding like it was yesterday....one of the best days of my life....and it seems life keeps getting better and better. Have a wonderful 2nd year!!!
