New Toys

We had quite a busy shopping day today. It all began last night when we created a "digital book" of 90-some pictures from our RV trip. After Bryan bought his new camera we were given a free coupon for a 12 page digital book. We spend 3 1/2 hours picking pictures and designing the book and were excited to go to Wolf Camera to get it printed. Little did we know that we couldn't upload the book from their website at their store. Makes sense, right? We also didn't know that the coupon was in-store only. Our options were to spend another 2 hrs re-creating the book at the store to use the coupon, or go back home and purchase it online, with no savings. We opted for choice c. We borrowed Sandy & Steve's computer to purchase it online instead of going all the way back home. Once the order was placed, it only takes an hour to print, so we headed to the mall on our down time. This is where one of our new toys was purchased. Bryan made me get a new cell phone. I wasn't yet ready to give up my Nokia for another brand. There is just something about Nokia that I always liked, but they haven't made any new phones for US Cellular in a long time. So after about half an hour looking at 2 different phones, I decided on an LG. It's really cool. It even has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard for texting! I like it a lot. Our next major purchase was on our way out of the mall. Bryan always parks at Sears, so we were walking through the Craftsman section and he stopped to look at riding lawnmowers. I was distracted playing with my new phone, so I didn't even know Byran made a deal on a floor model and that we were bringing it home with us! Here's the line he gave me: "This will save so much time cutting grass that I'll be able to spend more time with you". I can't believe I fell for it! But he was so excited. It looked like he was opening presents on Christmas morning at age 5. He was so excited that he mowed the grass as soon as we got home (even though he mowed it the night before). Here he is with his new toy:
