We're Still Alive!

I know, it's almost been a month since our last post! Here's what's been keeping us busy. Feel free to just read a day at a time, until you get caught up. I probably won't post again until the end of the weekend:

Friday nights: I have been busy with high school football games, but the season is almost over! (Especially since our team isn't very good).

Saturday 10/4, over and out: (Just a little trucking humor, hahah!). Bryan and I met Brian and Leslie at their house, then went miniature golfing. The weather was beautiful! Despite Bryan and Leslie's hole-in-one, Brian came in 1st, Bryan in 2nd, I got 3rd, and Leslie got a close 4th. We went back to their house at played a really fun game called "What's Yours Like?". We got a lot of laughs out of it. Maybe they will bring it over to play when we celebrate my birthday!! After the game we went to Famous Daves for dinner. The cornbread there is DELICIOUS! "I want your cornbread!". haha. As one of the leaders of Wolfpack (the school's spirit club) we volunteered to be in charge of coat-check at the Homecoming dance, so after dinner Bryan and I made our way to the coat check room. Bryan's eyes popped out of his head quite a few times at some of the dresses he saw.. If we have a girl there's no way she's leaving the house... ever.

Sunday 10/5: Oh-back track-while getting out of my car Friday morning, there was a little pinch in my lower left back. Since then, it randomly spasms and tightens, so I havne't been standing straight since. Therefore, Sunday was spent flat on my back on the floor watching football and baseball.

Saturday 10/11: Bryan went up to Lake Summerset to visit Teri and Kyle, to fish, and to help them bring their boat out of the water for the season. ATTENTION: HE CAUGHT TWO FISH!!! While he was playing, I had a girls morning with Jennifer and Kristi. We went to Yorkville's newest breakfast place, Southern Belles, which was Delicious!, then played some Wii, and then went over to Amy's, for her husband's surprise party. It was lots of fun-they even had a pinata!

Sunday 10/12: Another delicious breakfast, this time, at The Boston's in Villa Park. Bryan, Brian, Leslie, and I went over early for breakfast and to watch the start of the Bears game. Wedding details and baby details were discussed.. fun fun! Bryan left for his baseball game, while everyone else headed to our cousin's 6th birthday party. It was so gorgeous out that we spent most of the party outside on the patio. But it was good to see all the family, especially since it was the 1st time I saw them since our news was announced.

Monday 10/13: NO SCHOOL! Thanks Chris! (Columbus)... I had a play day with my mom since Bryan had to work.. bummer. She brought over her extra fall decorations and we decorated our new dining room hutch. It looks Awesome! I can't wait to host Thanksgiving so everyone can see! After decorating we went to a baby furniture store in Naperville, got lunch, then went to another baby store in Downers Grove. Nothing was purchased, but I was soooo exhuasted! Bryan surprised us at the baby store in DG before his baseball game. Then we all parted ways. Exhausted me went home, had a light dinner, then went to bed!

Tuesday 10/14: BABY UPDATE! Week 14 and feeling great! We had our 3rd doctor appointment today. No ultrasound, but they put something on my stomach so we could hear the heartbeat. Whoever is inside me kept on squirming around, so it was hard to hear the heartbeat for consecutive beats, but the doctor finally got it! It was great to hear the fast little beats. Our next doctor appointment is November 10th and the next ultrasound is November 26th... perfect timing for week 20... will we find out the sex????? WE'LL SEE! We're still thinking about it. But- even if we find out, we haven't decided if we're going to tell you! We want there to be some element of surprise on his/her birthday, so if we find out, we're either going to tell the sex or tell the possible names. (For those of you who may know the names already... and remember them... please keep it HUSH HUSH!)
