28 weeks, Baby Pool, Cuddling, & Mini Reunion

7 months pregnant already!
It was time to take a standard glucose test to make sure my body is processing sugars properly. 30 minutes before the appointment I had to drink a red liquid about the size of a bottle of bubbles. I had to finish the whole bottle within 10 minutes of my first sip. It was very sugary, but I still don't think it was as sugary as the drink "Hawaiian Punch"... An hour after you finish drinking it, my blood needed to get drawn. (The first time my blood was drawn here was not a very good experience. It took 3 veins, 2 nurses, and eyes full of tears). Needless to say, I was more worried about getting blood drawn than actually passing the test!
While we waited the hour to get blood drawn we had our normal blood pressure, weight, and pee test. All looked great, although the nurse was a little suspicious that I actually drank the liquid because no sugar was found in my urine. Not sure if that was good or bad, she didn't say. It took a minute for the doctor to find the heartbeat... I think little Knutson was in the middle of a tumbling routine. She has been VERY active lately. All looked good, and I measured 29 cm (I am supposed to measure the same amount of weeks, so I am 1cm "too big", but that's probably because my dad thinks I'm going to have a 9 lb 13 oz baby!!!)
Speaking of guessing the weight, at the top right of this page should be a link to ExpectNet.com, where you can put your guess in for the baby's birthday, length, and weight. We would LOVE to know your guess, so PLEASE click on that link. If you have trouble accessing the link go to www.expectnet.com. In the upper left corner, type in the name of the game "babygirlknutson".
Back to the doctor appt...once the hour was up, I went in to get my blood taken. It wasn't just a little finger prick unfortunately. They needed to fill 3 tubles! I looked away and squeezed my hand and before I knew it, it was over! It was a success. Only 1 vein, 1 nurse, and NO tears! On our way out the door we made the rest of our appointments. We go every 2 weeks until I am 36 weeeks (4 more times), then go every week until she arrives!

On a random note, we hung out with my parents yesterday afternoon and my cat decided to do some cuddling with Bryan. I couldn't believe that she jumped right on him and made herself comfortable. I thanked him over and over and over for not jumping up and throwing her off.

And the mini reunion involved some of my girlfriends from high school:
Becky, Jeannie, Kate, Amanda, and me, with all of our significant others. It was really fun seeing everyone and catching up!

WOW...what a busy few days you've had. GO SMOKEY, glad you're bonding with Bryan.
Glad to hear the blood test went off without a hitch. Here's hoping for great results.
And it's always nice to get together with friends from the past. Hope you had fun.
