Baby's Room

To prepare for Baby Knutson's arrival, we have been getting her room ready. The past 2 Saturday's our painter came over, and this week Bryan and I have been working on installing the ceiling fan and chair rail. It looks amazing! We love it! So here are some before and after pics:
Plain white wall:

The stripes in the room are very subtle. When you are in the room you really have to be at the right angle to see them at all. I was very excited that they showed up so well in the pictures.

The story behind the paint colors: Bryan and I have been very into orange lately. We decided on burnt orange and khaki long before we knew it was a girl, but I think she will like it. Since we knew we wanted orange, we actually picked out the bedding that would match the room, instead of the other way around! We have a few accessories that match our bedding already, and it goes perfectly.

The finishing touches to the room will come quickly- blinds are finally ordered, but won't be here until early February.... but the furniture is getting delivered tomorrow! Woo hoo!
