Lost Summer Days

Has the news settled in yet? It has definitely distracted me from doing any updating. I missed out on our last few summer activities.

Our 4th Anniversary (8-11)
We went to the Cougars Game with the Burritts and Grandma Nancy. This is where we also shared the news with the Burritts. It turns out, that the blanket behind Aubry & Tessa was two families - one with a set of twin girls, and the other with a set of twin boys. We're pretty sure their moms were twins - one of them even asked if Aubry and Kyri were twins!! Too funny. The girls just had a blast playing during the game and made it through extra innings to snuggle with Grandma during the fireworks.

Island Party (8-18)
Grandma Karen hosted the 2nd annual Island Party before school started. The girls had lots of fun playing outside and we all enjoyed a delicious tropical lunch. Aubry got a little wild after the party, once the guests left.. she just loves being naked lately (and also loves to announce it... "LOOK - I'm NAKED!!")

Miscellaneous cuteness
Reading the newspaper with Dad

Watching a movie

The official LAST DAY of summer - the day before school started
Girls day out - we tailgated at the Sox game. Cooked some burgers and hot dogs, played bags, and enjoyed the perfect weather. I shared the double exciting news with the girls here - they were all pretty shocked (and excited).

Fun times with "Mia Pia"
I'm starting to think that Aubry thinks that Mia's full name is Mia Pia - that is the only thing she will call her. We babysat Mia one day before school started and Aubry was trying to teach her Ring Around the Rosie. They played a bunch of times. It was the cutest thing. Then, just last weekend, the dads took the girls to dinner. They were so excited to sit next to each other. They were sharing each other's dinner and cracking each other up.

Labor Day bon fire
We took a fun bike ride with the Bostons and Grandma & Dale early in the afternoon, then had an early dinner. On our way home, we stop at the Schumanns. They were having a bon fire, so Aubry enjoyed her first SMORE. They were delicious!!
