Changes: 30, 21, 2.5

Lots of changes have been occuring at the Knutson house.
I have officially joined the THIRTY club. Looks weird, sounds weird, but so far, feels the same.
Aubry came home from Grandma Karen's this evening shouting "Surprise! It's your birthday! Happy Birthday, Mommy! We made you a cake and have presents! Come see! You have to open them!" She was so excited. It was priceless. We tried to replicate it and get it on video. Even though it is still cute (besides the personal/vulgar comment at the end), the live version was so much better.
Here is a picture of the adorable cakes Aubry made with Grandma Karen.

I am 21 weeks along with the twins - which means only 17 weeks to go! We are far past the 1/2 way mark. The doctor has officially said they would not let me go past March 6, 2012, and signed a release that my last day of work will be Februrary 24th. My maternity leave paperwork is in, and I will start interviewing for my replacement!!
I was sent to an external office for my 20 week measurements, so I did not have my normal doctor, but they still gave us lots of pictures. Most of them were body parts and profiles, but these two are Jack & Jill in 3-D! Both babies are growing right on schedule, and are both about 13 oz. Everything they measured and checked looked great.
Baby A (Jill): not so photogentic
Baby B (Jack): VERY photogentic - even gave us a smile!!

Our little 2 1/2 year old isn't so little anymore. She woke up Saturday morning and had the need to draw monsters. Normally, her "drawings" consists of scribbles, lines, and circles. We were AMAZED at what she came up with. These pictures are officially the first "objects" she has drawn:
After she drew her 3 monsters (that, apparantly like to eat pants, because they kept on "eating" my pants) we took her to the first session of Gymnastics. If you remember from last year, her interest was a hit or miss (usually a miss). The class is pretty big, about 8 or 9 kids. Last year there were 3, then 2, then just her. We weren't sure what she would do with such a big class, but she did AMAZING! She listened to "Coach Cory" very well - did all the stretches, the obstacle course, and then it was time to jump on the trampoline. She was asking the whole time to go jump, but we wouldn't let her, so when the coach said jump time, she ran there so fast and left us on the other side of the gym. She sat right next to the coach, and watched the coach jump all the way down and fall onto a mat. As the coach was standing up, Aubry was already half way down the trampoline, mimicking the coach's exact move!!! We were so impressed. After they jumped a few times, we went over to the "bars" and beams. She hung and did a loop over the bar with the coach, then walked on the big beam and jumped into the foam pit. She had a blast, and it was so much fun watching her and helping her. We really hope the rest of the classes go just as good.

In other changes, we are starting to get the twins room ready. We were planning on starting painting, but the focus of the project shifted while working. Bryan started moving the 2 dressers into the 4th bedroom, but when it came time to move the bed, he started talking to Aubry about getting a "big girl bed". (we will need her toddler bed to turn it back into a crib for one of the babies). After a few different ways of explaining what was going to happen, Aubry simply said "ok". So no painting got done, but the toddler bed was disassembled and the big girl bed is in place:

Aubry needed 3 extra blankets for "good snuggling" (in her words).
She did an okay job of sleeping in her new bed. She fell asleep with no problem, but woke up twice in the middle of the night because she lost a book or pacifier. For some reason she can't find it on her own, and I found myself starting at her at 11:55pm while she leaned against me while I was fast asleep, and asked if I could find it for her. Once the lost item was found, she fell right back to sleep.

Aubs cracks me up. I laughed out loud when I read that the monsters were eating your pants and that she needed three good snuggling blankets. I could picture her saying it with her head tilted!
