Thanksgiving & a bit more

We shared a wonderful Thanksgiving with our closest family. Bryan and I hosted, and even though there were no turkey leftovers, everything was a success. Of course, it helps when we assign all of the guests to bring a dish :)  I just had to make sure the house was clean, there was enough seating for 22 adults and 4 kids, and that we had jellied cranberry sauce and ice cream. So a HUGE thanks goes out to all of the delicious dishes everyone brought!!

Dessert time: I think this ice cream was round 3 (1st was pie, 2nd was rice pudding)

Day after
We slept in (a little) and then got to work on putting the fall decorations away and getting the Christmas decorations out!!! Aubry enjoyed rummaging though the storage containers for Christmas goodies. She found this hat and said "Look, it's Santa!".
While we were busy putting decorations out and listening to Christmas music, Bryan was busy painting the twins room. He did the top half (white) Friday night and the bottom half (navy) on Saturday. Aubry was asking all day on Saturday if she could help, so once Bryan had the edging done, he left her a little square for her to paint all by herself.

All that's left is another coat of blue, and some lilac accents!! (and build the cribs, and move the dressers, and find Aubry's newborn sleepers to put in drawers, and clean out the closet full of college textbooks and pictures and crafts, and decide on names, and find a double stroller, and stock up on formula and diapers, and .............. well, I guess the paint is not all that's left......)
