Trip #1: It was a perfectly cloudy day!! It was supposed to be rainy all day, with really bad storms heading in late afternoon. We arrived at 10am, and it was perfectly cloudy!! It wasn't too hot, it wasn't raining, and animals were out and moving!! Thank goodness Grandma Karen came with to push Aubry's stroller.
It was so fun watching Morgyn & Grady see the animals. They would point, make little noises, and look at us with such excited expressions.
Aubry thought there were 2 polar bears swimming because of the way the glass shifted points of view because some of the bear was in the water, and the rest was out.
Lunch with the monkeys-
Trip #2. Bryan and I had a great plan of picking him up after work, packing a picnic dinner, and seeing animals. We didn't know the zoo closes at 6 and we didn't arrive until 5. After parking and walking in, we had 45 minutes to see as much as we could.
It actually worked out well. We have never seen the wolves so active, or the brown bear so close!! After dinner, Bryan took us to downtown LaGrange for wood-fire pizza. It was a beautiful night, so we sat outside. We had a great outing!
