1st Vacation

Hi! It's Aubry again! I took my first mini vacation this past weekend. We left very early Friday morning and hung out with Grandma Karen until my daddy got off of work, then followed Aunt Teri, Uncle Kyle, & Kyri up to their lakehouse on Lake Summerset where Owen, Donna, & Charlotte were waiting for us. It was a wonderfully relaxing weekend. The weather on Saturday was beautiful so we got to enjoy the outdoors. We really didn't do much at all except relax-the perfect vacation. The mommies and daddies got a game of Nertz in while me, Kyri & Charlotte slept- congrats Owen & Donna for winning! All 3 of us were very well behaved. I really enjoyed the outdoors and hanging out with my cousin and cousin-in-law. On Sunday, Grandma Nancy & Grandpa Mike came up, along with Mr. & Mrs. Burritt. We spent more time outside while daddy took the boat out and caught some fishies on the lake! I didn't get to ride in the boat this time, but I have my very own life jacket to wear for next time. I can't wait!
We came home Sunday night, but went back to Grandma Karen's on Monday where I met lots of new family. Grandpa Dale's family got together because my Great Aunt Debbie was in town from Tennesse. I got to meet her and her family, plus my Great Grandpa Ray and my Great Grandma Jeanne for the first time! It was very exciting.

The busy weekend sure pooped me out. There were so many pictures, we needed a slideshow! ENJOY!

Morning Routine

I wake up between 5:15 and 5:40 to get ready for the day; am downstairs between 6 and 6:15 to check emails and watch any shows on the DVR that I am behind with. Kids start waking up around 7. The order varies; sometimes Aubry comes downstairs to snuggle for a few minutes before we go get M&G together, or, I have to get her out of bed after M&G are already up and changed. Breakfast begins. We change it up each morning between apple toast, veggie muffins, pop tarts, pancakes, cereal, and yogert. On Mondays and Tuesdays, there is no rush to get cleaned up and ready to leave; Grandma Karen arrives around 8. Other days we scramble to get hands and face washed, shoes on, coats on, toys put away, and to-go bags ready (backpacks and/or ballet bag, and diaper bag). Our goal is to be in the car ready to go by 8:15. The drop off at Grandma Nancy's is followed with dropping off Aubry at preschool at 8:55. And then I am off to work.
