Morgyn and Grady are doing so well. They seem very content. The only time I've heard them cry is when their diaper gets changed and the cold, wet wipe touches their tush. Morgyn took a pacifier after her morning feeding, was fine the rest of the day without one, but took it again on her way to the nursery at night. As far as I know, Grady has not used one yet.
Edward Hospital's Photographer (Bella Baby) was very successful with the twins first photo shoot. Here is a sneak peek:
Today's visitors:
Kara (with Grady)
Natalie and Patrick (were very sad that they couldn't visit the room - a HUGE thank you to Aunt Mary for entertaining them while Kara visited)
Aunt Sue (with Grady), Uncle Craig, and Kailey
Uncle Scott and Aunt Sherry
Aubry brought her baby to visit, and Aunt Susie brought her a present... twin babies!! Aubry was very insistent that Uncle Scott and Aunt Sue hold her new twin babies.
Lisa (with Grady) and Ed (with Morgyn)
I am feeling very good. The nurses are shocked that I am not asking for additional pain meds. I am just taking Motrin every 6 hours. I am able to get out of bed (very slowly) by myself, go to the bathroom, and walk around the room. Bryan, Aubry and I even took a short walk down the hall to the family lounge. I was moving slowly, but it felt good to be moving around.
It was a quiet evening. Bryan, Aubry and I were pretty tired. Aubry had a busy day at gymnastics (videos be posted soon, hopefully!!), went shopping with Daddy to get the stroller, and was here the rest of the day. We tried to take a family picture of the 5 of us, but Aubry was not cooperating. Poor thing was exhausted. Later on, the two of us snuggled in the bed and watched Tangled, then shared a plate of chicken tenders, french fries, applesauce, and orange sherbert.
The babies went to the nursery at 9:30, and I was asleep by 10. I was woken up at 6 by someone who had to take my blood. Meanie turned on the brightest light right above my face, so I covered it with a pillow the entire time he was here. I wasn't really able to fall back asleep after that, so I just laid with my eyes closed until 6:45 when the Motrin came, so I also ordered breakfast.
It is 8:45 and I my babies are still sleeping in the nursery. In just a few short hours, we will be going home! Aubry is having a play date with Mia today so Bryan can come take us home. I heard something about a bounce place and lunch at a train place.
