First week at home

To be honest, I cannot remember what happened on Monday or Tuesday...but I'm pretty sure I covered those days in a previous post :)
Wednesday:
Morgyn and Grady had their first doctor visit. Grandma Karen usually watches Mia at Mia's house on Wednesdays, but to help us out, they came over to hang out with Aubry while Bryan and I took the babies. Everything looked good at the doctor. Both babies are back up to their birth weight (Grady 5 lbs 10 oz; Morgyn was 1 oz more than her birth weight, making her an even 6 lbs!!) Next appointment will be a quick weight check on Wednesday.
Bryan and I are definitely not receiving "parents of the year" awards anytime soon. I forgot to bring the little book that I have been using to keep track of who is eating when, and how much, and what kind of dirty diapers and how often. Bryan...forgot the diaper bag. We did remember the new stroller, though, and it worked great!!
Mia and her new cousins. Mia is getting so big and her vocabulary is growing so much. She told us when the baby had a bottle, when the baby went pee pee, she found their car seats and beds, and wants to teach them to jump up and down.

Aubry enjoyed playing with Mia. She was getting really bored with her sleepy parents. She has recently shown an interest in picking out her own clothes: oh my.
Tummy time!! We have noticed that, although Grady is not awake as often as Morgyn, he is much stronger. He was able to pick his head up quite a bit already!

Thursday:
One week old today!!! I cannot believe I captured this picture....love it!!!
Rose & Mike came to visit. This was another outfit that Aubry chose all by herself. When she came downstairs with it, she told me she wanted to be "greeny". She is all smiles next to her buddy Rose.

Friday:
Happy birthday, DADDY!!!!!
I'm sure it wasn't the type of day Bryan expected... but he was a huge help. He left the house around 10am with Aubry, dropped her off at Grandma Nancy's to play with "Kyri Joan and Teeber Beeber", went to get a physical (to update his license with a CDL that expired today), went to the post office, DMV, bank, and Target. He didn't get back until after 3:00!! All the while, I had my first big chunk of time being alone with the babies. I think they alternated eating the entire time, leaving me exhausted.
We did get spoiled with dinner, though. The Burritts brought a meatless lasagna and Kyle, Kyri, and Tessa got to meet Grady and Morgyn. Grandpa Mike and Grandpa Nancy came too. It was quite an evening; had some toddler fights, crying, a couple bumps and bruises, but everyone survived the night.
Uncle Kyle & Grady
Kyri, Tessa, Morgyn, & Grady. The girls didn't even notice the babies at first, since they were quietly sleeping in the chairs. Once they saw them, Kyri said "they are so little!"
Singing "Happy Birthday" to Uncle B/Daddy. This was a fast - and hilarious - photo shoot.

The "Who do they look like" debate:
At the hospital, most of the visitors agreed that Morgyn looked like a Knutson, and Grady was making faces similar to Aubry.
Most recently, we have heard  that Morgyn looks identical to Aubry as a newborn (Bryan and I agree), and Grady looks like Grandpa Dale (this one I still don't see just yet).

Sorry to bring all of the chaos to your house after your rough afternoon on Friday. Thanks for letting us visit, though.
