It's simple: Bryan is AMAZING. He practically kicked me out of the house to go spend time with Aubry and my friends. It just so happened that Jennifer was staying at Pheasant Run to take Kurt, Josh, and Isabella swimming, so we tagged along! Yes, 3 weeks after having twins, I was in a swim suit - hard to believe!
It felt great to get out of the house, but spending quality time with Aubry was awesome! She wore me out. She has so much energy lately, even without taking a nap, is still wide awake, jumping up and down at 9pm most nights (Don't get me wrong, we still get some "I'm not tired" tantrums). But the pool gave her even more energy! She loved it. She started off with her ladybug float, then used a Nemo floaty ring, and then just wanted to jump in without anything!! She was a little daredevil. She went underwater (on purpose) once, and one time was an accident. Even though she came up out of the water coughing and wiping her face, when she caught her breath, she said with the biggest grin "I went under water!!". She was a little prune by the time we were done - 2 hours of pool time! I think she will enjoy swim lessons this year, and will hopefully be ok going all by herself. Actually, tomorrow she will go to a new Gymnastics level that requires her to go in alone, so hopefully that will give her practice.
My little fishy
All the little swimmers: Aubry, Josh, Kurt, and Isabella
After swimming, Aubry and I shared some chicken tenders for dinner (with french fries, of course). Then everyone took a walk to "Bourbon Street" (a themed area of the hotel) where there was a 3 piece band looking for volunteers. The kids lined themselves (in height order) and danced away! The video (compliments of Carrie) is adorable. It's just under 4 minutes, but the first minute pretty much covers what the rest looks like. Enjoy!!
