Aubry's 1st day of Pre-school. She was so excited to go! Possible even more excited that she knew Kyri was in her class. Aubry should be very thankful for Kyri. Because of her, Aubry knows the morning routine of arriving to school, which includes swiping the key card to open the entrance, hanging her backpack, washing her hands, and finding her name on the carpet square.
I was so excited to hear about her first day. When I came home from work, she ran to give me a hug. I sat down on the floor with her to hear all about it. My little stinker just looked at me and said "it's a secret". What?!?!? I tried to guide her with questions that had choices, but I hardly got anything out of her. She told me she got a birthday treat, Miss Lisa took the stuff out of her backpack, she got to play with bikes and balls, and that Lane cried. (At the first morning drop off, there were 2 kids crying, running for the door (poor Lane, the only boy, being one of them). The second day seemed better for them.)
I am lucky enough to drop Aubry off at school. We meet Grandma Nancy there with Tessa, who is dropping Kyri off. Grandma Karen picks Aubry up, but Grandma Nancy goes inside to get the girls while Grandma Karen stays by the cars that contain Tessa, Morgyn, and Grady. This system will be really nice in winter, so the little ones won't have to get out of the car in the cold.
On the second day of school, I got even less information than the first. Luckily, Grandma Nancy filled us in with some activities: play-doh, stamped their name with paint, played in atrium (bike/ball room), and storytime. She also said that when she asked Miss Lisa how Aubry and Kyri did she just waves it off and says "those 2 are just fine".
I know Aubry loves it, but I hope she starts telling us about her days so that future posts can publish those memories for her :)

From my experience, when you ask a kid what he or she learned at school that day the answer usually is "Nothing."
Kyri loves having Aubry in class with her. I hear they hug at the beginning of class each time...like they don't see each other four days a week! :) So sweet
