Sunday morning we drove from Cody, WY to Yellowstone. Yellowstone was amazing! We spent 9 hours driving through the outer loop and a lot of great scenic pictures. We were face to face with a bison, saw some mud pockets, Old Faithful, and some elk. We left Yellowstone and entered the Grand Teton National Forest. We basically just drove through just trying to get to our campsite in Jackson that night. We took 118 pics in Yellowstone.. here are a few of our favorites:
We woke up early Monday morning to get ready for a scenic float trip. It was very relaxing, and not wild rapid like at all. After that 90 minute trip, we headed back to the Grand Teton park to actually do some site seeing. We did some hiking and got some great shots. We found a great spot to watch the sunset, so we pulled over and ate dinner, then got attacked by mosquitos! They came out of nowhere, and all of a sudden both of us were getting eaten alive. Bactine to the rescue! We ended the night with a bull moose sighting. It was SOOO cool!
This morning we went back to the park to rent some bicycles. We heard about a nice trail, but the RV wasn't aloud on the narrow winding road. So we biked 4 horrible uphill miles there, hiked a little over 3 miles, then biked back the 4 miles, which was much easier coming back. We have since left the park, and are heading toward Craig, CO to visit Uncle Ken, Terry, and Caitlin.
Here are our favorite shots from the Tetons:
